Well,
I really am tardy in writing or posting anything due mostly to waning interest to be perfectly honest.  Also, my computer died and I have to borrow for time being.

The most important news to date is that I did finally acquire my much dreamed of horses.  See, dreams can and do come true.  Now, to be able to ride them!  They are fine geldings without papers or known history but I have an eye for quality conformation it seems.  Gorgeous creatures both, one mostly black paint (8 year old) seemingly Friesian and possibly Tennessee Walker, the other a lovely sorrel (4 year old) maybe quarter horse or Missouri Fox Trotter, common around these parts.  I have yet to paint them but have taken many photos in the Spring and will try to post these soon.  I have ridden them and so have others but I had 2 pretty serious falls one day and they are largish 16 hands high so it took some recovery time before I tried again.  Second attempt I was thrown twice again but found later a nail under the saddle and now, not having a day under 100 degrees for some weeks I haven't had much interest in riding but still enjoy visiting with Mac and Henna.

The combination of their vigorous youth and strength plus a lack of training or previous neglect and my lack of training, strength and vigorous youth makes for a wild and unwieldy ride, I'm afraid, but I figure we have years to work things out and find that I can remount after one fall but two in a row seems the limit for my endurance, haha.

Sorry I have missed you all for so long but I have been having adventures and been quite busy on the farm.  I'll try and be more available because I do admire you all so and appreciate you.

Yours,
Harriet

My Mom was on the roof but the doctors got her back down so she will certainly be around to pester me for a while longer, lol!  I am sorry for so much away time but I have been very busy and not much time for art or friends.  I apologize.  I went to an Internist and she is running more tests but I think we may have narrowed it way down and I will be fine maybe within months  with proper treatment but it is definitely aggravated by the collossal stress and other web of feelings I have over my son.  I got insurance so I can have the CTs and ECG and 15 or 20 vials they took of my blood!  If they find nothing then I am the healthiest person alive but the craziest as well.  Just think of the damage I could do!!!!  I wanna do art but I cant now.  I have been cleaning my shithole of a house and am using my mania for that for our GAPP student and for the rest of too, esp. me since I'm really prolly the only one who even cares.  haha!  I have a few commissions to do which makes me happy and my marriage is capitol!  In fact we are thinking of getting married and going to find a diamond in Murpheysborough AR.  But I MUST have my pony first!  It is my only requirement for a dowry. heh.  Oh, and I am going to gradually go green and solar, starting with a tankless water heater and maybe solar panels if we can afford them.  I am going to quit smoking and cleanse my body with good things to eat and drink from my garden this year because, by Jove, I will get one done this Spring if it actually kills me!  Oh, I DO have some art to post but not right now.  Crafts really.

Ugh, I have been awake for 36 hours and I don't want to stop until I can't go anymore.  Mania is sometimes a real handy thing to have once in a while.  ;D

I got 150 Prismacolor color pencils today!  They are so beautiful!  I'm sending my computer in for repairs next week so I won''t be around for awhile but I should have some fun art when I'm back.  ;)

Friends

I had the most amazing day yesterday!  I got to see a friend I haven't seen or spoken with for 11 years!  We had the most delightful day!  She used to be my son's therapist when he was a little guy and we always had so much to talk about then.  She brought her kids to my house on several occasions and I gave them a couple of art lessons.  We really were on the same sort of plane then and I find we still are and have even more to talk about!  Her daughter found me on FB and we've recently been in touch online but she drove 2 hours to come and see me and brought me a Champion juicer and a printer!  I gave her a scarf and the WoManDala.  Doesn't sound like a fair trade at all does it?  haha  The weather was gorgeous and we spent some time outside with my kids and the critters.  She showed me how to use the juicer and we made excellent juice with Swiss chard, celery, apples, lemon and cucumber.  It was lovely and tasted much better than it sounds.  She also brought a Tia young coconut ( I had never had one before and liked it very much) and these wonderful little tea flowers that you drop into boiling water and are made of tea leaves that spread apart and make a beautiful blossom.  She also loaned me a relaxation tape and taught me some amazing techniques for metaphysical healing.  It really worked to help lift the "brain fog" I have with this fibromyalgia too!  She is the most knowledgeable person and has the best heart and sense of humor!  I just adore her and cannot wait to visit with her again!

I also went to my oldest son's marching exhibition with my oldest daughter and it was great!  I saw another wonderful friend there and we hugged and chatted and as always she made me laugh so hard I almost peed my pants!  hahaha

Today, I am still smiling from yesterday's beautiful experiences.  :)

Critique

I want to submit some of my previous works for critique and don't know which ones to choose.  I have never had my work critiqued before.  My art teachers always just told me my work was good and gave me A's in public school.  I have never had any college classes or anything so it is all new to me to have actual feedback.  It kind of makes me nervous but I think I can handle constructive criticism.   This should be interesting.

Oh, I found out who my premium gift was from and I am so happy she is my friend and not a creeper.  LOL  Thank you again, my dear!!!!  :iconspazhugplz:

I have been crocheting hats and scarves and I will try to post photos of them soon.  I think you all will like them.  I never use patterns so they are all my own creations and some are very fun with ears and such like.  Perhaps I could sell a few on here to raise funds for Oliver's trip to Germany.  It's worth a try, huh?

I must also get over to the Humane Society to see about doing a dog mural for them.  Doesn't that sound like fun?  It will be so hard for me to get away and there will be so many days I just don't feel well enough but I'd like to give it a try.  So, wish me luck in my endeavors and as always I wish you all luck in yours!

Happy Halloween, my friends!  I hope I see many great costume photos!
